今回は、香港や中国本土で役者をなさっている美濃輪泰史さんのインタビューです。非常に貴重な体験のお話をお伺いできました。内側から見た香港・中国映画の世界です。
This is an interview with Fumiyasu Minowa (nickname "Yasu san"), a Japanese actor appearing in movies and TV dramas in Hong Kong and mainland China. It is a very special story, a view of Hong Kong/China movies from their inside.

In this film last year, you played the role of the chief villain, Zombie sensei.
ゾンビ先生は一応考古学者の役ですが、不老不死の薬を求めて最後は爺さんになって死んでしまう役です。
Zombie sensei is an archeologist pursuing medicine for perpetual youth and longevity but turned into an old man in the end.
これは重要な役どころ。ジョーカーとか、悪役（ヒール）はきょうび、人気集めますからね。
This is a key role. Heels, like Joker in the Batman series, can gather some popularity, especially today.
とにかく超巨大な中国の市場 Ultra huge Chinese movie market
人口約14億人の中国は、今やアメリカを抜いて世界一の映画市場（しかし人口ではインドもすで並んできてる）。中国のテレビや映画に出るということは、数億人の視聴者の目に触れるということを意味しています。中国アニメ『羅小黒戦記（ロシャオヘイセンキ）』の日本版が今話題ですが、その前の中国国内ヒット作『Ne Zha之魔童降世』は、なんと興行収益782億円と『鬼滅の刃』の2倍です。中国政府は、現在、映画やアニメ、ゲーム（『荒野行動』など）やSNS（TikTokなど）「ソフト展開で中国の価値観を広める」と公言しています。なので今後さらに世界戦略としてもソフトに資金を投じることでしょう。
With a population of 1.4 billion, China is currently the largest market for the movie industry, exceeding the U.S. (, though India is catching up with China with regards to the population size). Appearing in Chinese TV programs and movie suggests that you are viewed by hundreds of millions of audiences. At this point, Chinese animation "The Legend of Luo Xiaohei" dubbed in Japanese is hot among some people. The most recent blockbuster in Chinese animation "Ne Zha" made 78.2 billion yen, which is double of those of "Kimetsu no yaiba." Since Chinese government set forth a policy of "dispersing CCP value through expansion of software, such as movies, animation, games (including KNIVES OUT), SNS (including TikTok), they will pour money into movies as their strategy for global domination.

ただ、アニメについて日本市場にどの程度食い込むか？は...とくに当ブログの読者の方におかれましては微妙な気がします。アニメに限らず日本のコンテンツには、「ここまでやってよかですか？」というヤバさ（批判力）が少なからずあり、そこがおもしろさです。しかし中国においては党の直接指導不可避ですので、おのずと主張に限界はあります。ただし、個人で描ける小説は、わたしの読む限り意外とゆるいです。（おっと、それって発禁本含んでるよね？）
That said, I am not sure how much Chinese animation works can tap into Japanese market, in particular, given the readers of my blog. Japanese works including animation have a critical, destructive power against reality in terms of society, politics, etc., which is, I beleive, one of the keys of their attractivness. In China, on the other hand, people's ideas are under the direct control of Chinese Communist Party. So there is a limit of expression, naturally. As for novels, which can be written personally, however, I found them relatively free. (Excuse me but books I read might include banned ones.)

ただ、アニメに関しては、『少林サッカー』(2001)の名監督チャウ・シンチーや、この映画も出演したスターで今や中国有数の富豪ビッキー・チャオが投資しています。シンチー監督は香港映画出身のヲタクだし、検閲潜りのテクニックも優れているので、彼の影響という点はポイントだと思います。ようは、古代世界とか、ファンタジーとか、話を異世界に持って行けば検閲がゆるくなるのですね。
For animation, Stephen Chow, a famous director released "Shaolin Soccer" (2001) and Vicki Zhao, who became a star appeared in the movie and now is a billionaire in China, are making investment in the area. Stephen Chow is a comedian/director from Hong Kong and he has a skill of avoiding censorship. His influence on the industry would be a point to note. Frankly speaking, you can be somewhat free from government censorship when you are talking about different worlds, such as ancient countries, fantasy drama, space odyssey and so on.
そんなシンチ―監督はパクリが多いのなんの言われますが、彼はものすごい量の古今東西の日香中米ソフトを吸収しているので、その豊かな”教養”がパロディの形で出てきてしまっているだけ、とわたしはおもっています。またほぼ、もろ”パクリ”というシーンですら、俳優、演出、タイミング,、音楽などで、そのお笑いを芸術品と言える洗練度に仕上げています。(ただし洗練＝上品ではない）。だからいいんでない？
Not a few people say Stephen Chow is a copycat. Let me say something on this. His so-called parodies are products out of his tremendous amount of knowledge about pop cultures in Japan, HK, China and the U.S. he absorbed in the past. Moreover, in his movies, such copied scenes are polished up artistically in their casting, direction, timing, music, etc. (Note that the outcomes of the polishing up are not necessarily elegant one.) So I believe that's OK.

人魚を観たので警察に届けたところ、まったく相手にされないシーンが『ワンピース』（中国名『海賊王』）のシーンまるぱくり。でもこのアイデア非常に成功しています。とくに、カウンター向かって右側の警察官役の李尚正（リー・ションチン）の演技が秀逸です。全体のタイミング（笑いを左右するのは時の神）といい、無駄のないカットと言い、完璧。（そもそもシンチ―監督は完璧主義者。）
The scene where the main character goes to the police station because he met a mermaid but is ignored. This is a copy of a scene of Japanese comic "ONE PIECE." However, the movie scene with the borrowed idea is perfect, thanks to the skillful acting of Lee Sheung Ching, overall timing, one of the most important factors for comedy, and clean editing. Yes, Stehen is always perfect!

それは、KUWA de MOMPEの"Stranger to the City"のMVを作っている時のことでした。上記部分に使おうかなと、高須クリニックねたを検索していた時のことです。と、この動画が…。「こ、これは…？」っと、ヘンなネタに非常に弱い東京キャビンは吸い寄せられてしまいました。

以前、中国の「抗日映画の日本兵考察」という記事を書いた時に、”敵役”とはいえ、いろんな演じ方があり、しかもそれが時代背景とともに変わってきていると知り、興味を持ちました。なので、本当に中国で演じていらっしゃる、し・か・も、あのドニー・イェンさんの映画にもでているアクション俳優・美濃輪さんがインタビューに「Yes!」と応じてくださった時には…。もう死んでもいいです。あ、死ぬ（バタリ）

When I wrote an article putting together "Japanese soldiers in anti-Japan movies in China," I learned that there are various types of "enemies" and the style has been changing in tandem with the changing backdrop, which was an interesting fact.
So when I heard "Yes!" from action actor Yasufumi Minowa, who plays solders and, furthermore, had experience of working with that Donnie Yen, I was so happy that I could die...Oh, I'm gonna die...(FLOP)
"Cuuuuut! Thank you, but no need to come to our studio, Tokyo cabin!"
