最上川舟歌とは？ What is "Mogami River Boat Song"?
山形県西村山郡大江町左沢(あてらざわ)の新民謡。1936年（昭和11）9月、NHK仙台局が「最上川を下る」という番組を企画、左沢の詩人渡辺国俊に「最上川舟唄」を依頼した。しかしこれに該当するものがないため、同地の民謡家後藤岩太郎とつくることを計画。柴橋(しばはし)村（現寒河江(さがえ)市）中郷の船頭後藤作太郎から教わった掛け声と、左沢の船頭後藤与三郎の母親が覚えていた『松前くずし』という船頭仲間の流行(はやり)唄を組み合わせて、今日の『最上川舟唄』の曲をまとめあげた。歌詞は、渡辺国俊が1932年に近所の船頭の女房佐藤やす（当時72歳）から聞いておいたものを元に手を加え、今日の形にまとめあげた。そして後藤岩太郎の唄で初放送し、以来全国的に知られるようになった。
It is a shin-minyo, newly created minyo folk song, of Oe-machi, Yamagata Prefecture for an NHK program in 1936. Lyrics were written by Kunitoshi Watanbe and music was composed by Iwataro Goto based on the local boat songs. Goto was inspired by "Volga River Boat Song" in Russia.

19世紀のヴォルガ川の舟曳き人足たちによって歌われていた労働歌を作曲家バラキレフ（М. А. Балакирев, 1837-1910）が収集し、1866年に採譜した、有名なロシア民謡。映像はロシアの歌手レオニード・ハリトノフ（Леонид М. Харитонов）と赤軍合唱団（Ансамбль Александрова）の歌による、1965年のもの。
聴いたことのある有名な曲ですよね。…でも「最上川舟歌」にそれほど似ている感じはしません。ベースがれっきとした現地の舟歌だからでしょう。
"Volga River Boat Song" is a famous labor song. Personally, I don't find lots in common between this song and "Mogami River Boat Song," which is based on Japanese local songs.

逸材”朝倉さや”を世に出したsolaya氏の引退
朝倉さや 1992年6月29日生まれ、山形県出身。Saya Asakra, born on June 29, 1992 in Yamagata Prefecture.ひいおばあちゃんや、母が民謡が好きだった影響で
小学2年生から本格的に民謡を習い始め、
小学4年生から三味線も習い始める。
民謡日本一に2度輝き、18歳で上京。
Under the influence of her grand-grand ma and mother who love minyo,
Saya started to learn minyo when she was eight years old.
and started to practice the shamisen (a three-stringed Japanese banjo) when she was ten.
Won top at Japan's minyo contest twice.
Came to Tokyo when she was 18 years old.
2012年、Crystal KayやJUJU、東方神起、坂本真綾など
著名アーティストを手掛ける音楽プロデューサーsolayaと
出会い、オリジナル曲の制作を開始。
また動画サイトで名曲を民謡調•山形弁に
編曲しカバー、話題に。

With album "River Boat Song Future Trax," completion of a totally new music genre, saya and solaya won Japan Record Award (Planning) in 2015 for the first time as a indie label.
solaya氏は現在治療に専念するために音楽活動は行ってません。
