現在、中国とのことで神経戦が繰り広げられている台湾ですが、歴史を知ると「おら知らねえ」とは言えないほど深いつながりのある国です。なんせ、戦前は日本だったのですから。
まあ、その辺のことはともかく、この映画は…ジョニー・トー映画のようにゾクゾクはしないのですが、いい映画ですので機会があったら観てください。

具体的な歌詞のストーリーは1945年に台湾から日本に帰ってきた湾生の人たちのイメージなのですが、このように住み慣れた土地を去らなければならない辛さは現在も至るところで起きています。たとえば、中国返還後の香港ではすでに数十万人が国外に脱出しています。
ただ…暗すぎるイメージにも敢えてしてません。だって、この先、いいこともありますからね！
