英語版「イップ・マンのテーマ」を男性に歌っていただいたところ…結果的には合わない感じがしました。川井先生の曲は、男性より女性が合う気がします。それについての検証です。歌っていただいた亜沙美さんの"Eyes On Me"もご紹介いたします。
I requested a person to sing my Ip Man Song in English, but it was found unmatched the song. I think Maestro Kawai's melodies go well with female vocals, not male. This time, I am going to verify this point. Let me introduce Asami, whose FF8 "Eyes On Me" cover is starting to gain lots of views.

わたしはYouTubeで、川井憲次先生の曲「イップ・マンのテーマ」に自作の詞をつけたものを亜沙美さんに歌っていただいております。おかげさまで私の動画の中では一番観ていただいています。（ドニーさんが見てくれたかは不明。）歌っている亜沙美さんは、当人のチャンネル「飛騨大好きSinger 亜沙美」（わたしは”亜沙美”＋”飛騨”で検索しております）で、ファイナルファンタジー8の「Eyes On Me」のカバーも2.1万ビューと好調です。そもそも実力のある歌い手さんなので、今後が更に楽しみです。
As you might know, I wrote original lyrics to Kenji Kawai's Ip Man Theme and Asami sang it. The music video for the song is the most popular video on my YouTube channel now. (I have no way to confirm whether Donnie-san watched it.) Meanwhile, Asami's cover for "Eyes On Me" from FF8 topped 21,000 views in her own channel "Singer who loves Hida, Asami" (so Search keywords are"Asami" + "Hida"). Asami has a solid vocal ability. I'm very happy with the trend, expecting her further growth.

さて、「イップ・マン・ソング」の視聴者の半分は海外の方です。そこで、その方たちに歌を理解していただけるように英語版を作りました。さっそくそれを男性に歌っていただいたところ…結果的には合わない感じがしました。その方は、Fiverrでも上位の人気歌手(5スターが1,000近いLevel 2 Seller)で実力がある、にもかかわらず、です。その方は真摯に対応くださいましたし、わたしもその点は感謝しているのです。ただ、この曲は男性は合わないと思いました。
Regarding my Ip Man Song, almost a half of the audience are those from Japan. So, I wrote an English version for them and hired a man to sing it, but the male voice does not match the music. Even though the man is one of the top-rated singers (Level 2 seller) with almost 1,000 five stars at Fiverr online freerance service! However, I found that male vocals do not fit Ip Man. Why?
実はこれは…最初の予感通りでした。現実としては、その予感通りに、小屋の少ないバジェットを使ってしまって、ちょっと落ち込んでおります。
いや、落ち込むことはないのです。と自分に書いております。なぜなら、靴は履いてみないとわからず、果実は味わってみないとわからず、男は付き合ってみないとわからないのと同様に、歌は歌っていただかないとわからないものだからです。
To tell the truth, I initially expected it and the reality follows my instinct. I became somewhat deflated because I spent my sweet little budget.
No, no need to get deflated! I'll say to myself. Because you cannot know whether the singer fits the song. Just like you'll never know whether they are good for you before putting yourself in shoes, taking a bite out of an apple, and dating a boy.
